Ambient light VENEER
The 2017/2018 “make a light” project brought a lot of new ideas for proving in woodworking, especially for the students we joined the school this year. It also took me quite some time to come up with an idea or imagination that could impress a larger crowd.
I was thinking about wall lights, hanging lights, table lights, but all this did not seem interesting and inviting enough for people, so I decided on another way and that is a light that can be on the floor or on a shelf and is more intended to decorate or decorate a room. But I got the right idea at a prestigious restaurant when I saw a hanging light surrounded by veneer. A beige light shone from it, so my idea was only perfected when I had a colored light displayed in my head. So the idea came to the day when I imagined a colored light bulb in a stand surrounded by thin and narrow veneers which, due to their narrow thickness, will let in colored light and thus also the quality of the product. I started by weaving the veneer, which I glued into a square frame. I also added a cover and a floor in which the light bulb is installed. Thus, the product got its shape and its true value only after double painting.
My mentality is also based on the fact that the product could be sold en masse, as it is a product that impresses people with such quality and light coming from wood. This is the end of the 2017/2018 "make a light" project for me, but here I have gained a lot of self-confidence, and if you believe in something and do your best, you will succeed in what I would say is impossible at first glance. .
